Paul Forestell literally “wrote the book” on whalewatching, as co-author of a pivotal guide to ecotourism with Pacific Whale Foundation Founder, Greg Kaufman. He has studied whales off the coast of Australia since 1984 and is an internationally recognized and widely published expert on marine mammals. He is author or co-author of 10 books and book chapters, 21 peer-reviewed articles, and nearly 70 symposium and conference reports on whales and other marine wildlife. His work includes the development of international training programs for marine naturalists who provide wildlife interpretation for ecotour operations. Currently, a university professor and dean, Paul is also a prominent authority in science education.
During this special 2-hour Whalewatch with capacity limited to 75 for optimal viewing, you’ll hear fascinating facts and insightful commentary from Paul, as well as live whale songs from underwater hydrophones.
